Random Stuff...

The end of summer is just a day away. We are starting to roll into Fall, my all time favorite time of the year. I've had to put on a sweater twice this week on my way to work...I just love it.

The air conditioner if officially off for the season...Yippee--and all the windows are now open letting in the crisp fall air. We are hitting the upper 70's to low 80's during the day and the 50-60's at night, which makes it such good sleeping weather.

There are so many BBQs this weekend and unfortunately, we can't make them all. It's tough when you get conflicts of multiple parties on the same day. I just hope that everyone understands that we couldn't make them all.

I hope Alison has a Fall Birthday...August and January are very busy Birthday months for both kids and adults...both months are kinda like Christmas with all the presents and I want to be able to concentrate on Alison only...I know, it's selfish, but I figure with this wait I'm entitled to be a little bit selfish every now and again.

So I think that either spring or fall would be best for Alison, preferably fall because it's not a wet and it's still warm and we can have an outdoor party with lots of the fall fun stuff that we do now, but in celebration of her.

THANK YOU MICHAEL...

Yippee...I FINALLY have my new computer!! Now I can update more often and boy do I have a lot to update!!

We are working on updating our home study paperwork. We need to make some appointments for our yearly physical...I feel like I'm always calling the doctor lately for these updates...this is round 3 for update...1 was the original paperwork for the dossier and this is our second renewal.

Still no word on how many day will be referred for September.

Still no word that February is out of the review room. I'm feeling confident that Michael and I have made it through review because a person in our travel group got questioned at the end of July and I was told by our agency that the groups are reviewed together...but then again, I just put it in writing, so maybe we will get a call next week...Murphy's Law, yup...this could bite me.

More updates coming...this is it for tonight.

Review Room...

Just a quick note on the Review Room...still no word that February 2007 is out of review...but we still have not had any questions...so this is giving me some hope that we made it through review.

Trying to stay positive!

It's that time AGAIN...

to start with our paperwork renewals...it feels like we just did all this! The dossier paperwork comes up this time of year and the fingerprinting and USCIS is in June.

I received a packet from WHFC that we need to update our medicals, CORI's and home study. Fingers crossed that we stay healthy and don't get arrested (hahaha...like we would do anything that would get us arrested!)

This is number 3...doesn't the saying go "three times is the charm"...we shall see.

Referrals for August...

were very disappointing as far as the number of referrals that were sent...It is looking like the CCAA has referred only two days of dossiers...which brings the date up to January 31, 2006 (truly the cut off was January 27, 2006 as the CCAA was closed from January 28 - 31, 2006). Remember, our LID is February 15, 2007 which is still more than a year away from the actual date of referrals that have been referred out (does that make sense?) If the CCAA continues to refer such small batches...how long it is going to take to get to February 15, 2007??

It is sad and frustrating so see these small numbers each month.

It is sad and frustrating to wonder about all the children that are currently waiting for a family.

It is frustrating wondering "Okay...what is going to happen to us between now and referral that is going to stop us from adopting?"

I can say that the tiny ray of sunshine lately is seeing the referral pictures that are now being posted and it reminds you that, yes, if we are willing to wait...no matter how long...we will have Alison in our arms one day.

Congratulations for all the PAP who have received their referrals...we wish you speedy travel to your children.

I NEED A NEW COMPUTER!!

It's so frustrating that I don't have a working computer at home...Michael took home his lap top last night and I couldn't get connected to the internet...that's it...I'm going to break down and go out and buy a new computer. I've been told that Michael got one for the house a month ago, but I still haven't seen proof of it...I'm beginning to think that he doesn't want me bloggin!

I wanted to post some pictures and I can't do that from work so unfortunately, they are just going to have to wait
